• Meeting of the Presidents of Slovak Republic and Hungary in 2008
  In the premises of Gisela hall the joint lunch attended by the presidents of both countries was held. The meeting was organized in relation to the visit of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica.

• Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and Minister of Education of the Slovak Republic Ján Mikolaj visited the castle in 2009
  The meeting on the occasion of the visit to the Upper Hron River Region and Železiarne Podbrezová a.s., where the guests present attended graduation of the students of the ŽP Private Secondary Vocational School for metallurgy.

• Meeting of mayors of regional capitals of the Slovak Republic - K 8 in 2010
  The meeting resulted in conclusion and signing of the „Declaration on the protection of the intellectual property“ .

• Meeting of the Slovenian and Slovak President in 2012

• During its last period of reconstruction the castle is visited by personalities of cultural and social life of different areas, one of them is undoubtedly the sculptor Ján Kulich. His works enriched some restored areas. Exposition premises shall be used for the future exhibitions of local and regional artists.
